I have a 98 gsx eclipse I blew the belt that drives the water pump. Causing it to over heat. Anyone have a link to that belt? Is it the “water pump and alternator belt” or a diff one

Yes it drives alt and water pump. Alternator provides tension.

Your profile states you are a v8 guy. This is a simple belt change. A known failure point on the car is the harmonic balancer. It is known to get old and separate. Did you throw the belt or did the belt shred because it was old? A quick and dirty test is to set the car at TDC on number 1 piston and then check and see if the balancer timing marks lined up. I would be more concerned about the possible damage from overheating. How bad was it?

Sweet know where the best place to buy the belt from. Never worked on this car b4. My dad died and left it to me so first REAL dsm/gsx but about 4th issue so far on it

All cars r different,v8 l8t trucks def aren’t the same as a 4g63. And the belt looked newish still very clean when it was on, I think after just pushing it on the highway it blew. I saw temp rising fast, pulled over and had my wife bring the truck and trailer and it’s been in the garage since. I pulled the intake mani, exhaust manifold, turbo, intercooler etc to clean it all up while it’s in the garage. Not seeing anything bad so far

My point was you seemed to suggest you're pretty good with cars so I pointed out if you look you'll see the alternator is the adjustment point and this is a simple pull and swap. Cramped but no gotchas. I would inspect that balancer if you think the belt was good.

Unless you're looking for something oem any auto parts store will do and pick whatever brand you like. If you have enough belt to identify part number take that with you. Parts store guys love to give you the wrong parts. When they ask you what the car is be sure to point out it is the 2.0 turbo and not 2.0 non turbo. They're completely different motors and transmissions. Nothing is compatible.

If it isn't in stock I usually do ship to store. Anymore I order what I need online at rockauto and just have it available.
