420A Water pump timing belt

Here's my million dollar question. Im doing some research on cost to replace them on my 1996 GS and i want to make sure i get good ones. I called up Mitsubishi to get a price and holy crap the timing belt and water pump from them is $179 for the belt and $134 for the water pump . But i also called up Autozone and they have them for $53.99 (timing belt) and $37.99 (water pump). Now my big question is, are the ones at Autozone just as good at those at the dealer. I really dont wanna spend $300 bucks on just parts if i can get them for 1/3 the price somewhere else. Unless there is a different place to get decent ones for a reasonable price. I do know about rockauto.com and they are roughly the same price as autozone. I have just heard about crappy belts and water pumps and dont want to be the victim of buying a sub par part. . I still like $85 and $50 for the tensioner from rockauto as opposed to $179.99 from autozone and i know im getting OEM from the rockauto. Im already up $40+.

Autozone tensioner always get oem, i thought extreme psi had a timing belt kit, years ago, not sure since your there if your unsure of the oil pump wear might want to inspect it and make sure the gears are in spect cheap insurance, and a nice time to replace the gaskets and seals in that area. Just did a full rebuild, and first time when i replaced everything but again i also did a full rebuild. Sounds like your on the right path.

extremepsi had timing belt kits but the only ones i saw were for the 4g63. Unless i just didnt see the one for the 420a. I might have missed it, but i swear i didnt see one there. I could be wrong
