I have a 98 GS that just stopped starting. Getting spark, checked fuel pressure & ... nothing. Relay clicks like it should ... replaced the fuel pump (twice) and still nothing. Fuel pump clicks on prime but does not run. test light shows power to the pump when unplugged .. but no light when plugged in ???? Any ideas ?? Thanks in advance ... I'm stuck.

definitely not the crankshaft position sensor. have search the forum and this is a new issue. anyone?

Clarify, test light shows power to pump when unplugged. Are you talking about power to the harness where it plugs into just before the tank?

If you are showing power there, but no power once you plug the pump in, there is a short in the wiring between the plug and the pump.

Have you hard wired the fuel pump yet if not do that and see if it starts.
My 90 did the same thing went thru 3 pumps before I was told to hard wire it and it never gave me a prob after that.
