Is there anything I do to add some base to my stock stereo? I've read posts about putting a base box in the trunk with bad results. Also, I don't want to lose my back seats all together. I love my spyder but the bass is ZERO.

Thanks

KEVIN

Would I even hear the sub if it is in the trunk of a spyder?

I was thinking about the 6X9's but didn't know where to go for some nice ones with lots of bass.

you can try an infinty basslink, or a bazooka tube.
a 10 inch bazooka or even an 8 is pretty big, I have an infinity and I really like it.
maybe a local shop can hook one up temporarily just to try it out?

Does it actually do any good to put a sub in the trunk of my spyder?? Will i even hear/feel it??

Thanks

KEVIN

Yes, Subwoofer sound waves are non directional and travel through almost all material. MOST people in fact have cars with trunks and it poses no problem whatsoever in having subs in the trunk.

So yes, you will be able to hear it as long as you get a somewhat decent 10 or 12.

Check out www.sounddomain.com forums for some help or feel free to pm me.

sas bazooka makes a 150 watt amplified bass tube that sounds sweet. It hooks up into your stock wiring. bass is heard in and through anything, dont worry about not hearing it in your trunk, think about all the sedans you hear with boomin bass, gotta put that box somewhere right, do your seats fold down(I'm not familiar with the spyders inside)? Thats where I get more air movement, I put down the seat directly behind me, then my 12's sound even louder. :thumb: Good luck in your quest for bass.

Listen here, don't get no stinkin basslinks or no "bazooka tube". I have a spyder with 3 premier 10"s in a .7 cu. box. yes It barley fits but It sounds awsome in the trunk, I had a Mtx 6500d on them but i am selling it to get a Hifonics bx1000d because the subs are 350 rms each. and a little peice of advice on those damn 6x9's make sure that they will fit, because i bought some top of the line Infinity Kappa's and the wouldn't fit for nothing, most of the bad ass 6x9's WONT fit. I had to sell them to get some cheaper shallow mount power acoustics and they sound ok but u prolly not gone get a lot a bass out of 6x9's. so my advice to u is to get 2 good 10's (L5, Punch, Kappa's, or JL) and build a easy to handle box for them, buy a 600-800w amp and call it a day! :thumb:
