Well its time for me to make a build thread. This is for my 97 eclipse GST, I've owned it now for 7 years. I bought the car when I was 17 and it was my first car. The main goal of this car was to build a quick and CLEAN show car that had power to go with the show.

This is kind of a quick and dirty post about the long 7 years of ownership LOL I'll post a mod list, future plans and current status of the car within the next couple of days.

Good God. That might be the sexiest red 2gb I've ever seen. You and Gofer are tied in my book. Gorgeous car, man!

That car does look very good. Glad you got rid of the red interior along with the red split loom from the engine bay. That alone made a HUGE difference in what I thought about the car! Very nice!

the only thing that came to mind was WOW when looking at them pic nice good keep it up

Very nice car, a Guy that I meet two weeks ago has one that is as clean as new and no one has mess with it. Everything is 100% stock, to bad he doesn't appreciate what he have. So very soon that car will be mine, :D

This car is beautiful! Great progress!
Where is the sensor on top of the intake manifold at?? Delete? Also is that an aftermarket fuel rail, I noticed its black, I like it, kinda sleek.
You sir have a "powerplant" A DSM.

:dsm:

beautifull! I'd love to know more about how you got rid of or moved the wiring that all comes from the pasenger side engine bay. That's exactly what i want to do with mine, but aside from moving the fuse box. Where did you put your fuse box/ I don't need the info on moving it really since i have done and now un-done it to under the front fender and back to OEM (it was getting water in it and causing electrica issues)

But iaside from cleaning out the glovebox or air bag for it i'm looking for ideas

but the firewall looks plain gorgeouse, where'd all that wiring and such go? I have a full stand alone and am building a new harness currently but i see yours doesn't even come out the stock location.. did you lose function of anything inthe car while cleaning it up like that?

I'd love to read more about how it was done :D

Thanks guys! I'll try to answer everything. The fuse box is under the dash, behind the glove box. All the HVAC crap was removed. When I rewired it, I cut a new hole behind the intake manifold for the wiring.

BTW I just got the car back yesterday from having the AWD rear end and gas tank mounted. I'm going to finish the swap

I think you did a good job. Now I would not do what the interior looked the first time but dam I would not of got rid of it that was point less. Ricers are dudes with non painted body kits and rusty stock cars. Your car is not a rice rocket I would of kept all of that. Anyways nice car

I did the black interior swap because the interior was painted black and red, even the seat :notgood: The oem black interior goes so much better with the car.

The manifold is coated in a ceramic flat black from TCC, but I have to get it redone because its flaking off.

AWD swap is cake when you got the time and tools.

I just got done helping a buddy do his a spyder a few weeks ago.
