I just got a 96 eclipse gs spyder that was hit in the front by a lifted truck. i got the hood off and fenders and bumper and found some wires that got cut from the collision and a motor (i think ac compressor but not sure) cracked and some metal tubing busted... i am going to be spending many many hours trying to research these and see what exactly they are and what i need... i am hoping a local wrecking yard will have some parts or wires i can snag, if not, ill probably need to buy new plug connectors and splice stuff in, etc... but any help if you know what these are, or where they go, and a decent place to get them, i would be most grateful. thank you.

so far this is the replacement list i have so far... please let me know if i am wrong on an item. thank you.

-Radiator $50-150
-Radiator Fan Shroud $60-80 EACH
-Radiator Support Upper Tie Bar $40
-AC Condenser $55-85
-Power Steering Pump $120
-Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Connector
-Blue & Blue/White Plug located by the power steering pump (havent discovered what it goes to yet, but i see where it connects to)
-Impact Guard? (not sure where that can be found it)
-Hood

No that is not the AC compressor it is the power steering pump you can see the line that goes to the power steering reservoir. You can also see a busted AC line it's likely goes to the condensing coil in front
thank you! are you talking about the ac line that there's the skinny line and then the larger one next to it? (the metal tubes). also, do you know what that metal tube is that goes into the power steering bump? i am guessing that doesnt come with the pump when you buy a replacement?

Does anyone know if the radiator, ac condenser, and power steering pump on a 420a or 4g63 will work for my car with the 4g64? Someone has a 96 eclipse gs parts but its not the spyder

I don't think any of those for the 420a will work unfortunately. The 4g63 stuff might work but there will be differences in the radiator as far as I know, "I was under the impression the 4g64 is similar to the 1g design as far as the upper radiator hose placement." I could be off on this though so please don't take my word for it LOL.

alright thanks.. yeah i dont see the spyders often in wrecking yards and in part outs locally.. so i was just wanting to make sure i dont buy stuff from a different engine "hoping" it would work.. when it doesnt.. LOL

does anyone know where to get the Radiator Support Upper Tie Bar? i ordered it on mitsubishi parts central but they just emailed me back saying that part is obsolete... thinking im going to have to try to find an eclipse in a wrecking yard and just hack saw that piece off... does anyone know if that piece is the same for all models? thank you!
