My 96 Eclipse Spyder GS slips out of 1st gear. That i know for sure i dont think it does it in any other gears.

When i have to stop or slow down to almost stop sometimes it will seem like its in neutral. And when i speed up it goes into that neutral thing again. I think its a solenoid but idk wanted to see what other people thought before i go buy the solenoid. It is an auto tranny.

Sorry im just replying been busy. So when i bought thr car it had no transmission fluid so i had to put some in. I havnt done the filter yet. Il have to do that tomorrow

My friends spyder does similar, more so with reverse, but anytime switching gears and even sometimes at a stop it revs up then clunks horribly into gear. Also clunks bad when putting in gear from park. New motor mounts, changed fluid twice and a new range sensor.

did not help, autos suck.

manual swap and whole engine build now in progress.
