Hey. So i decided to change out my upper tranny mount since i had a new mount laying around. I got it all ubolted but the mount does not fit over the bolts sticking out... do i hammer the bolts down so they go down a little bit? (The bolts have a slight gap between the head and the transmission, but it is not a normal head so i was assuming they were stationary... thank you

I've been in that same boat before, and I understand why you aren't having any fun or success. I have always had to remove the front and/or rear mounts first so that the trans can lower down a few inches. Alternatively, you could try to wiggle the mount out of the way enough to remove the mounting plate under the mount. It should be held on by 3 bolts, 1 of which is under the mount.
