Need help, just traded my 98 Spyder for a 96 turbo 420a.

The turbo is not boosting, there was an intercooler pipe that was broken so I routed it right into the OBX intake, still don't have boost or any ideas. I think possibly the gaskets may be bad.

Would anyone know how and where all the vacuum lines go?

One more thing, when I drive it lags like even worse then a Honda LOL but it doesn't go past like 5k full throttle only when driven

The vac line off the BOV should run directly to the intake manifold. The clear tubing that is connected to it now isnt gonna hold up in an engine bay.

The vacuum port on the top of the throttle body goes to a hard line on the firewall that runs to the evap solemoid.

If you still have the EGR hooked up, there should be a vacuum line going from the EGR solenoid to the intake mani.

Brake booster to intake mani.

The port on the valve cover between the #1 and #2 spark plugs goes to PCV valve, then to intake mani.

the vacuum port on the fuel pressure should go directly to the Intake mani.

Does the turbo spool at all?
Turn the compressor wheel on the turbo. Does it spin freely? Also look at the blades on it. Are them damaged?

what size injectors?

What are you using for fuel management?

What spark plugs are you using?

Thanks guys!
Although I'm still having the issue of it lagging like completly almost dying out while driven, I've done some work to it since this pic. I still haven't gotten Intercooler piping, any recommendations on routing the Intercooler piping?

I already f***ed one set up because the car was low and the piping was running under the frame.

That and you need figure out which vacuum line your actuator is missing otherwise it could get very hot and you don't even have it going through the intercooler anymore so very not good idea.. maybe also get a boost controller and rout the turbo actuator boost gauge and aim into it

This thread is from almost 7 years ago and the OP hasn’t been on since then. I’m going to guess he figured it out or moved on from it at this point.
