first let me tell you that i did not pioneer this setup, invent, nor was i the first to do this. I simply wanted the information in one place so those who need it can find it.
first thing first read this information Turbocharging the 4G64
the most important things are on here. most of it pertains to the 98 and 99 spyders, however there is some useful stuff for the 96-97's.
the following items will be used for the wiring on the 96-97's turbo ecu wiring:
resistor pack wiring is the same for all spyders.
fuel pump relay/module wiring is the same.
The turbo throttle body is needed like mentioned along with the iac and tps. the wiring needs to be redone unlike the 98-99's its not plug and play. the wires will go together except numbers 2 and 5 pins on the turbo iac connector need a stable 12v source ( key on type 12v source of course ) i used the egr solenoid.
i also had to adjust my tps in order to correct surging idle issues.
knock sensor works for all spyders and is needed.
tap into the blk/wht fuel pump relay wire #4 to power the ecu which then goes to pin 82.
everything on this page is the same for all 96-99 spyders except the few things i mentioned.
second do your fuel pump rewire takes a whole extra 30mins and its worth it in the long run.
if this sounds confusing let me know so i can clean it up a bit i did this at work soooo... also if this sounds too easy thats because it really is.
