Are 950cc injectors to big to run with a evo3 big 16g ebay turbo will be tuning with a afc but not sure if I can use them

If you are using dsmlink buy the largest injectors you can afford. They can be tuned to make your car idle like stock. I have pte1000cc and i was originally planning on a 16g build. Well now i have an hx40 And am wishing i had 2150's from the get go.

Safc might not be the best thing to use nor an ebay turbo.

For now I am only useing a afc1

I had planned on going bigger with the turbo but ran out of money building the motor and painting the car and then to top it all off got laid off at work now I just want my car back together LOL

Might want to throw the stock turbo and injectors back on... those eBay turbos sound like timebombs

I did run this turbo for a little while it seemed fine its from cx racing but got it on ebay so never sure and so I wont be able to tune enough with the afc to run the 950 cc injectors what will happen will it just run like shit

Yeh engine will go boom super rich at idle super lean under boost
Maybe try to find some stock evo injectors or 550s the nu could use the AFC to tune
Wouldn't be a bad idea to get a wideband
Or just sell the 900cc injectors on classifieds

What is nu? I really dont want to sell the 950 cc injectors I am going alot bigger with the turbo maybe next year and I do have a air fuel gauge but its not a wideband

What size injectors do evos have

"Then you", not the nu. Without some way to compensate for those injectors, you cant use them . An afc tricks the ecu into seeing less airflow, so your timing would be extremely high and you will ruin the engine. Better off with the stock injectors and running wastegate pressure. Then at least your cheap turbo 'might' last a little longer

Yeh the nu was supposed to be then you
Typing on this phone sucks sometimes
Evo 8 injectors are 560cc apparently
The air fuel gauge isn't really useful if its one of those blinky light things
A wide band gauge is much more useful gives u the real time air fuel ratio

I do have a gm mas conversion which I can also adjust for rich or lean problems dont know if that would really help or not

If the ebay turbo is all you got, go ahead and run it. I've had a 16g ebay turbo that came with my car, its been fine for 9 months so far since I purchased the car and the PO had it for 2 years LOL. Those turbos are hit and miss I tell ya.

Yea the stock one blew up and I got the 16g from ebay as a temporary one but ran out of money with this build and got laid off now just trying to get the car together for the summer

If you just want to get the car together, just find some stock injectors, run the turbo at stock boost and leave out the SAFC. Or find some much smaller injectors for cheap and run the SAFC. You wont be able to utilize the 950s until you buy some more stuff and if I were laid off they'd be the first thing I'd sell so I could get my car back on the road.
