95 TSI... NON turbo????

i went to look at a 95 tsi the other day. i test drove it, took it on the highway drove it around alittle bit, seemed like it was turbo, becuase it had some power.. i asked the guy selling it if it was turbo and he said yes.. so i park the car and pop the hood to see its non turbo ? i thought all tsi's came turbo? i told the guy this a isn't turbo engine.. he thought it was turbo because when he looked it up on the net it had the tsi listed with a 2.0 turbo engine. he baught the car brand new. is this car very unique or what? does anyone else own a tsi non turbo ?

could it be a mysterious from the factory error? That would be weird, Chrysler accidently put a tsi bumper on it and sold it off as a tsi without thinking. hmm sounds fishy to me.

If it's a TSi it's turbo.

Does it have the 4G63 or 420A under the hood?

Did you see the factory "boost" gauge in the cluster?

Get the VIN, run it through carfax, the free report shows what trim the current car is.

its has the 420a motor in it and it has no boost gauge, but the bumper says eagle talon TSI, he said it has never bin in an accident baught it brand new never driven, hes the first and only owner. thats why he thought it was a turbo because it said tsi on the bumper and somwhere else, but he couldn't tell me looking at the engine because he doesn't know much about it.. ill have to call him up.. there was acouple of people looking at it that have test drove and he told them it was turbo...but thats wierd it has no where listed esi only TSI

or he could be playing some really bogus scam on uninformed people who want to buy a turbo but is too ignorant to know the difference. For those that do know, he is still "safe" because he is playing dumb. For those that don't, they aren't the wiser and he gets $$$
