That link is if someone had the old motor but all I have is the motor that came from the 95 and I know the cam sensor is different but I know there is more but im not sure what they are... please help

i dont remember the cam sensor being different.i belive the crank sensor was different.i bought a motor off a guy that said it was from a 97 avenger and i dropped it in my 96 everything plugged in but when i dropped it in my the same motor in my 97 talon thats i think the only sensor i changed.

The newer model years used different shaped pins in at least the ignition coil, but possibly the cam and crank sensors, and VSS too. The simplest way to overcome the problem is to just use the coil and sensors from your old engine.

the sensors are the same, just the plug ends are different.Go to a junk yard and find a 420A that has the same plug ends.Cut them off and splice them on to your wires. The colors might be different but its easy to figure out.If nobody is watching, they are small enough to stick in your pocket. But thats up to you,I never stole anything!:sneaky:

I don't have a old motor to use the sensors so please stop saying use the old sensors.....
Please stop saying use the old sensors? There was one suggestion to do that, and you gave no indication that you didn't have the old motor. If you want help from others, be nice.

I gave you a list of the sensors with plugs that may have changed in later model year cars.
