I recently changed my turbo because the oil seals in that blew. After that, the car didn't have spark, so I changed the cas. Now, I have spark, I have fuel but, the car won't start.

The car has a 6 bolt swap, the engine came out of a 91 talon. I've torn the haynes repair manual apart looking for the answer, but all the checks they come back with I check, and it's right. I'm wondering if the cas can be positioned wrong for the timing, or if there's something else that I'm missing?

Thanks

Its true, your 1g CAS could be 180* out if you didn't install it correctly so I posted a picture below of what it should look like before its installed. After you make sure its aligned correctly put a timing light on the car and make sure base timing is set to 5* advanced. 1g Setting Base Timing How-To

I've done that twice now. The second time was a little easier to figure out why it wasn't starting. ;)

You've got a '95 ECU and your running a 1g CAS so your spark plug wires need to be exactly backwards from what you'd think the firing order would be. I didn't mention it because from what it sounded like was the car started fine before and what you did to the car shouldn't have had you pulling the plug wires off. Make sure your plug wires look like this...

I'm off to get a starter, then to retime things thanks!

thanks again Gofer! my cas was 180 out, but other than that, my number 1 and 4 spark plugs were fouling out.

but now my issue is with the turbo... Always something with a DSM haha
the car runs fine, but the turbo is leaking oil all over the ground, and a lot of oil. I have to look tomorrow for where it's leaking tho. I'm hoping it's something easy, I'm almost afraid that I'm going to have to get a different turbo tho
