95 GS 2.0 l swap into spyder convertible or gst

is it possible to swap 95 gs 2.0 l into spyder convertible gs? if cant what abt gst?

I dont believe it would be worth the effort since I do believe the 2.4 is mounted with the timing belt toward the drivers side like the 4g63. However anything is possible if your willing to do EXCESSIVE amounts of work.

Which one is easier to fix? Install gs 2.0 into gst or spyder??

i have turbo so? 16 g plus some parts for turbo

A GST should already have the turbo 2.0 (4G63)in it, GS and RS have a non turbo 2.0 (420A) in them. That is the engine they come with. Some Spyders come with the 4g63 in them also.

Its not going to be easy either way. Just get a GST or GST Spyder Or the other option If you really want to do an engine swap, is to swap an EVO drive train into a non turbo body. i know a guy who Is a DAMN good fabricator and he said the only way he will ever do this swap again is to cut the whole front off of a turbo Eclipse and weld it in place of the non turbo eclips front end. Its COMPLETELY set up backwards from one another.

The gs spyder has a 4g64 engine in it. not the 420a engine. The wiring harness is just about the same as the gst. you have a couple of options. One is just add a turbo, exhaust manifold, injectors and a turbo ecu .Or do a complete 4g63 swap.

im wondering if the motor 2.4 from galant between 95 ro 98 will fit 96 eclipse spyder gs? do i have to change something such as motor mount?

From what I've seen working on them they have a modular clutch as well, which completely sucks but is good in some sense. Show a pic of your engine bay.
