I have been driving 70 miles a day for more then 2 months. At random car would buck and check engine light would flicker or would randomly stall at a light. Car would do that 3 times a day or wouldn't do it at all for 2 to 3 weeks. Well did a lot of driving this weekend and its doing it a lot like non stop every time i drive mostly at 60-80mph for a few mins on the highway and stalling after running a few mins. I replaced the Crank Position sensor with a advance auto one BDW brand i think. I had to cut the wires and wire on there clip/harness which was no big deal. Now its doing it a little worse then before it bucks a slight bit in 4th and 5th gear at 40-50mph not bad bucks but noticeable, its also still stalling as well.

What else could it be?? already scanned checked for codes. Plugs, wires and etc were just replaced last oil change. This is my DD i need it for work so please help, thanks.

yeah i hated to do it but being its my DD i needed it right away its all advance carries as well as autozone. I found other threads on here about the connector swap and they didnt seem to have problems. Just me an my luck.

anyone?

anyone else with this problem?

I would find a cps from a yard, or car rather than splicing wires, ebay.

is it possible sensor could be bad out of the box?

well swapped out the new cps with another new one and its still doing the same thing random stalling with 3rd 4th and 5th gear light sputtering.

Quit throwing parts on it to try and fix it. You will spend tons of money. Everything under the hood is able to be tested. Check to make sure that the egr isn't stuck open.

check your spark, if not that it sounds like your car isn't getting enough fuel check the pump and injectors

i checked fuel pressure and its perfect, injectors i haven't got that far yet but the egr is good. My work schedule leaves me to busy to mess with it. I have my trans am to finish still and haven't really had time to get it finished ether or i wouldn't be worrying about to having a car to drive. I don't know much about imports other then the basics i have been building trans ams 4x4 trucks and camaros forever. So any help here is much appreciated.

Not sure how you define "stalling". if it dies between shifts, and won't idle, it sounds like an airflow problem. I would 1st check the ISC motor, and then the Throttle position sensor.
I have gotten new CPS's that were bad, but usually the motor will act like it has a low rpm rev limiter if this is the case.

if sitting at idle in driveway for a few mins it will just die/stall. It just starts right back up though like there was no issue. The biggest problem i have is 3rd 4th and 5th gear when accelerating it will stumble/hesitate kinda buck as your gaining speed. This is a new problem since i changed the sensor it never did that before. Before the sensor was changed it would buck a few times on the interstate or randomly die and the CEL would flash for a instant second.
