I was searching around, seen some threads but nothing that was too useful.

My issue is the car flutters which I saw is not good, the 14g that was in my car i replaced put another in because it was shot oil coming out from the fins and burning bad.

I put another in it yesterday, does work because I do have boost again. Bad part it sometimes looses it when shifting (its an automatic) so this shouldn't happen.
I had the metal bypass valve on the original 14g that was in it, also was crushed to help produce boost quicker.

Originally thought this was the issue so I went and found a blow off valve and it didn't want to go off as it should.

Now with this working turbo, sometimes it flutters, sometimes the blow off valve actually goes off as it should loud as can be.

Now even with building boost it at times (not all the time) my boost gauge needle will start to shake telling me its leaking somewhere.

Could this be caused by a bad throttle body or inter cooler?

Thanks for any help.

Your first issue is that Turbo XS. I know for experience - They suck and leak under even the lightest boost levels.

Have you checked your vacuum connections and ensured that everything is plugged up correctly. You don't have the BOV tapped for anything do you? It should have a dedicated line to the intake manifold.

Go ahead and do a boost leak test as Grave informed you to. That's the sure fire way to find any vacuum/boost leaks you may have. Also, more information would be helpful on your current setup.

Matt - Side note : Congrats on your 4th chiclet. I'm trying to close in on you. Lol.

Thanks, the BOV has a dedicated line from the engine only nothing else.

While I had the turbo out yesterday I did check all the lines and they are all on.

I have noticed that the one solenoid ticks badly, not sure the name of it I believe it is the EVAP solenoid.

I will try the boost leak test though see what happens.

LOL Thanks man!
Considering the fact that you started a year after me and you are where you are now, I'd say you just might pass me up.:| It's all good though.

Good luck though Kod. We're here for you if you need some more help.:)

Well I am going to change the throttle body their is lines on that just like on hondas that tend to clog up and go bad, which could explain the over dumping of gas and my idle issue just a FYI for anyone else with a gs-t / gsx because the N/T talons / eclipses don't have this.
