420A turbo for 95 eclipse

What kind of turbo should I get for a 95 eclipse RS? Its all stock except for a cold air intake, high-flow cat, and muffler!

I would like to get this car at/about/or more than 450hp!

What other parts can I install to gain more hp?

Some turbos to look at would be a t3/t4 turbo probably a 50 trim. But you will need many supporting mods along with the turbo man. FMIC, injectors, fuel pump, dsmlink to tune...those just jump to mind. Do a search for "fp green" and "t3/t4" and you should get many threads on turbos capable of 400+ hp.

To achieve those kinds of HP on the 420A you are going to need to rebuild the engine. 450hp on the 420A isn't an easy task, good luck.

waste of money and you'll never make that much power anyway, fastest turbo 420a is in like the 11s and its like a full out dragster, not worth it

Im not sure about that 450 whp, if you have the cash then i suppose you could do it, but anyways, i would have a talk with www.hahnracecraft.com to see what they recommend.. i think they have the fastest factory non turbo eclipse around.

ya dont even think of installing a turbo w/o some sort of intercoolering.

and dont go mindlessly buying dsmlink either. I do not know whether or not all 95s came with the EPROM that is REQUIRED by dsmlink, so someone will have to verify that for me.

I would like to get my eclipse to atleast 300, I know that I can handle that much power! But if I could eventully get it to 450, that would be cool!

one of my friends put in about $25-35K and got 450hp, but it sucked gas fast! go about 10 miles on a full tank of gas, but used it for racing, then wrecked it!

I'm not sure if my car has a EPROM or not, have to check it out!

Okay Please, please, do not mistake my honesty for meanness or flaming, i just want to be straight with you. Eprom ecu and dsmlink is for FACTORY turbocharged dsms with 4g63 motor, you have the 420a motor and it will not work in your car.

a turbokit for your car will not boost it to anywhere around 300hp, not on your stock motor, your going to need to have your engine built.. more $$$

Please research the difference between the 420a and the 4g63-turbo motor and their potential. With 5k into a gs-t or a gsx you could easily see 300hp.. please keep this in mind when making your decision.
