95 AWD restoration 500hp expectation

Like my blog states, I'm currently restoring a 95 Eagle talon AWD. I bought this shell for thirty bucks Its current condition is not to well. The body is strait, it still has the 4 bolt rear and drive line. The interior is pretty bad but with the plan I have I'm OK with that.

PLAN- Body restoration and repairs.

CAR

GOODS-
4 bolt rear
strait body
race ready interior and shell

BADS-
Wiring harness is torn to shreds
nothing in wring harness, hard lines are salvageable.

GOAL
Race ready by next year(June or July)

BUDGET- between 15000-18000

experience-
I have completed two engine swaps in a DSM. First swap was a 1993 AWD 6 bolt swap. Second, was a 92 n/a with a 4g63t swap(already had the proper wiring harness and ecu.
This is my first restoration project so all help and ideas are greatly appreciated

Detailed plan and specific parts wanted
I hope to build for at least five hundred hp to the wheels. (HOPE)
I plan to completely tear everything out that is already on the car. understand that i have a strong job and a large budget. I am not an extremely experienced DSMr but I learn fast, and I am not stupid.

all supporting mods and engine management.

PROJECT PATH-
start with restoring the body, wiring harness and running gear that is currently on the car now.
whatever is not needed in the wiring harness, please tell me. whatever can be eliminated please tell me through out this build. i have spent the last two hours researching and studying and cant get solid information on what can be eliminated.

JAM block and head
slowboy front mount
880 injectors
GT35r (possibly)
shep trany - so expensive!!! might not get it
these are the large mods. mods i have not listed yet i have yet to decide on a certain one

Looks like you have quite the build ahead of you man, one suggestion i have is murder it out. i think talons and eclipses look mean as hell like that. if its going to be a full on racer id shit can the a/c compressor and all outher related components.i hope soon to pick me up a talon project car like that.happy trails and have fun.

Also, I can help you figure out a good turbo for your goals. The best/easiest way for you to set the car up, is with DSMlink, that's what I would do if I were new to the game, it's very user friendly and there is a large knowledge base available to help out.

My i suggest if its going to be a full on race car, leave it without the interior? Just a driver seat?

already had that planned. i honestly plan to tear out whats left of the interior(not much) and only replace the dash(2g dash is amazing) the engine bay will be cleaned of all useless wiring hardlines and garbage oem engine bay plastic thats left.

So, with that budget, you know you call up any of the vendors that build engines, and sell parts, and they could get you hooked up with everything you would need. 15-18k is quite a bit of money to spend, unless you're talking over time. You shouldn't have a problem making 500hp with that much money dumped into it.

The budget is coming from an inheritance. a great friend almost a father to me passed away and he left me 20k. im waiting for it all to come in. i know its a large budget and i know venders can hook me up. i just want to get the most qaulity parts for Supporting 500hp. in no way is this going to be any rice rocket garbage from vin deisil's garage.

Correct, this budget is not limited strait to the motor. If it was i would be looking a little higher then 500hp. I want the stock clean look of a 2g, with the bite of a well built clean 4g.

Thank you reviver. Now i have to comment on your car. i have never been partial to after market body fabrication and bolt ons, but your front bumper is amazing! I t has a strong resemblance of a blown up 1g bumper, and I have the biggest weakness for a 1g.

OK- so i have some more plans that will be executed soon.
I have completely torn the rest of the interior out. the entire engine bay is completely stripped. I got my car on a trailer currently and this weekend we are taking it to my Uncles shop (extreme Customs) to get it painted. I cant decide on the color though. White, red,or black. Feedback and opinion would be greatly appreciated.

Ive got almost the same thing going on with my shell conversion, only its a 2g gst going to 2g gsx from my current gsx drivetrain swap. Collecting parts as we speak. I wont be running as much power or a built block but definitely a complete restoration. Good luck and keep posting. I would definitely rock the black or white btw!
