I just bought a 93 talon 2.0 dual cam non turbo. The engine was rebuilt but the timing tenssioner was not put on wright and damaged 2 valves that I have already fixed, the car now runs after re-timing but im not sure if i did it right???? I followed the books instructions the only thing I was not sure about is when timing marks were alighned the #1 piston was not quite TDC but the book never said if it had to be? It runs but I only start it for about 15 to 45 seconds to try diffrent things, I cant retard the timming any more to get timming set and engine feels like it heats up too fast but temp gauge does not show its that hot?? is it just me or should it not get hot to the touch in 30 seconds? what did I do wrong? how do I checke to see if antifreze and oil are circulating? I was told the motor coe was from a 92 version so I timed it appropratley to that. any tips would help a lot
