So i looked at the other AUTOMATIC threads and couldn't find a similar problem to mine.

I have a 93 Eagle Talon TSI AWD Automatic: So today i got the exhaust finally done and was going to go for a test drive after finally getting the rebuilt engine and (TMZ) rebuilt transmission done when i backed out of my friends garage and heard the power steering pump start squealing so i tried to put her in DRIVE and she wouldn't go into drive. I couldn't get her to go into any gears other than Park. So she is stuck in park. I took the shift linkage off and couldn't even get the gear selector to move into any gear.

The transmission was filled with fluid prior to any start and double checked prior to starting. SO i didn't run it without fluid. No noises or sounds coming from the transmission, no CEL lights or anything. Engine is running great. Does anyone have any recommendations?

You did put more fluid in it after starting it. If you just fill if empty and than start it it will drain the pan. You need to add more fluid after it is started and running.

Yes, i did top it off again after the first start, as per Tim's (TMZ) instructions. I followed every step to the T. Hope its not the transmission. I contacted TMZ, waiting on reply. Keeping my fingers crossed that i dont have to pull that thing back off.

incorrect installation of the valve body. I did the same thing a while back. You have to make sure it's lined up perfectly when you install the VB. That metal rod should slide smoothly right into that groove. If it's not lined up and the CB is torqued down, what you saw in that vid is what happens.

I didn't install it. TMZ performance just did the work on it. I just couldn't get it to go into gear and obviously found out why. Waiting to see what Tim says. Hopefully something we can resolve quickly. Anxious to get her on the road.

I understand you didn't install it. I am saying they may have installed the valve body incorrectly.
