Great build, congratulations. :thumb: I know I look like a newbie from this name, but I already build a 1991 Mirage with a 4g63 6 bolt with 20 G small body Turbo. and just recently find myself a 1995 AWD Auto Talon with as it seems to be a JDM 6 bolt engine. My plans are very similar to yours. Just with a few exceptions. I'm going to try to go with a Formula One style Pedal shifters, so I won't have to remove my hands from the steering wheel :D As far as I know no one has done that before. But if any one of you knows someone, please let me know.

FAL window kit. Super light weight stuff!

Waiting on the rear subframe to comeback from powdercoat and then I can finish the rear.

Oh, since I'm OCD and have to have everything as close to perfect as I can, I wanted to replace the fuel neck with a new one since the one on the car is rusty and looks like crap. I called Paul at JNZ and he first said they didn't make them anymore, but then found one in CT. He told me that it was probably the last one in existence.

Rear subframe is pretty much done. Just have to bolt everything together and install. I just layed everything together to make sure I had everything. Nope, Axle bolts, nuts, washers on the way from JNZ Tuning.

I just seen this post, my bad.

Yeah it has been done, sort of. Guys with 2G's can wire in the shift 4 or whatever the company is called shift box to the stock steering wheel and use the horn buttons to shift the transmission up or down gears.

Wheels came in WOOT! WOOT!

Also, I decided to build a work bench for the garage.

I stained it with minwax ebony wood stain, bought a mini fridge, Craftsman 5 ton vice, a buffer from harbor Freight (sears was out of Craftsman buffers), and attached a couple adjustable LED lights.

Nice build.

Why did you go with the dual AEM 320LPH over something like Bosch 044s or single pump? You will have to run more gas in the tank (more weigh) to help keep these pumps from starving.

In case these pumps came with universal socks/filters which might not fit into a 1G setup, the 4Runner socks will bolt right up and can be found at NAPA. Part# STS-49.

I hope to see some results soon!

I got the fullblown dual pump hanger when they first came out before there were any big drop in fuel pumps. I didn't want to have to run an inline pump like a bosch 044 or Aeromotive because at the time it was a street car and those pumps are loud as hell.

The pumps came with filters, but I also have some smaller filters new from Walbro which will fit as well if the AEM ones are too big.

If I see issues with the pumps, voltage drop and such which would cause an issue like starving the motor of fuel I will switch to a mechanical setup which is belt driven off the cam gear like linked below...

Magnus Mechanical Fuel Pump Drive | Magnus Motorsports

I hope to see some results soon as well, I'm tired of dumping money into this thing and constantly working on it. LOL :thumb:

Looking good can't wait to see the outcome.

AEM E85 fuel pumps attached to the Fullblown dual pump hanger. I just need to figure out what the heck this small black wire is for?!?!?!

Only bad thing I can say about these are that they are NOT a direct replacement for a Walbro 255, the plugs are completely different so you'll have to cut, solder, and heatshrink the wires.

Its a R&R. They don't make them anymore, its old.

Bradco converter finally came in today along with the Magnus throttle body adapter.

So now I'll be installing the trans and head finally tonight.

Very nice Build!! Would you happen to have the part# for the ARP TC bolts? I am having trouble finding an ARP 1/2"x 20 with a UHL of .625

The Shootout was just what I needed to motivate my ass to get on it and finish this rig.

IFO in November is the goal, also any other Import drag racing event going on locally in the Southeast. Import Showdown or and of the Import Face Off events.

Shooting for a 9.5, blown motor or broken parts. Whichever comes first.

Just need to finish up a few things in the engine bay which will require welding (piping and such) and get the cage installed and certified.

Another goal is to have this heap ready and take it to next years shootout. I've gone 3 years in a row now as a spectator, next year I want to compete!

Enough talk, time to go turn some wrenches!

You can get it done. I had my car running all of a week and a half before heading out for the shootout LOL.

Well with this hot ass weather it's still been difficult to motivate myself to work on this thing. I finally got some progress done though. Suspension is pretty much done, just waiting on a couple bolts from JNZ, I got the rear bumper repaired and repainted and the taillights tinted. Now I just need to pack the chute and a couple other things.

Didn't notice you got those wheels! LOVE them! 9.5x should be no problem for you once you get the car sorted. Low boost will get you there...especially on that converter. Can't wait till mine arrives!

I ordered them with the correct back spacing and pad height so I don't have to use spacers.

The fit perfectly with coilovers and the TCE drag brake kit.

Small update

Got a custom water pump pulley that allows me to run the Jay Racing Alternator relocation kit without having to bash in the frame rail.

Also got my manifold all packed up and ready to go to Boostin Performance to get coated, also sending the FP3794HTA back to FP to swap out for the new Super 99HTZ!

I also got the chasis wiring harness all stripped down and will be removing all wires not being used anymore and will be relooming it with Milspec sleeving.

More updates to come after this weekend!

I'll be at Boostin performance this coming Friday to do a final dyno/tune on my daily driver. I guess they have a great coating in order for you to ship it out here huh? I'll ask Devin about it.

Boostin Performance is who coated my buddies manifold pictured here...

Now the compressor cover will be taken to be polished next week.

Also ordered a Tach since the factory one doesn't go high enough. I think I'm going to make a cluster and place all of my gauges where the factory cluster goes.
