Not new to Talons just new to this dam weird issue.
In neutral it revs fine to any rpm, in gear driving hits boost falls on its face and holds 3k rpm and 5 psi boost turning MBC up or down no change. I can drive a block or 2 at 3k rpm at 5psi no change and doesn't gain speed.
92 Talon, 20g turbo, external WG, old skool ufo looking one with nut and bolt to stiffen it up. Cast Turbonetics headers, 3" exhaust, Greddy BOV recirulated since after GM MAF, 3" GM MAF, MAFT rev 1.7 (aux 1 mode 1-4 dip switches all up/ all off base d wot 2. spark base 4 wot 8 - got the car had those settings), PTE 680 injectors, i just installed an AFPR set to 42 psi just in case, also has 272 cams. It had a MSD ignition coil swapped it back to stock and stock wires. Does have an AEM WB as well.
No luck. fixed boost leaks, rebuilt TB no leaks holds 20-25 psi. Revs to redline in neutral, when in gear will hit boost and hold at 5 psi wont go above 3k rpm or 5 psi. Tried different working MBC, going to try straight to WG next. Changed spark plugs to NGK BPR7 from BPR6, also did the EGR delete and emissions delete, same issue.
I bought it non running, pulled ECU blown caps etc swapped out the ECU, car started just wont go over 3k rpm under load. 190 compression, ARP head studs, have a binder with the car was running 26 psi before ECU went they thought it was the fuel pump and changed it.
At a loss what to check next maybe the MAFT settings aren't right? Also no CEL. I have noticed idle goes kind of high 1500 ish and have the bliss screw in pretty far. I loosened the throttle cable to make sure it wasn't to tight. Idle is around 12.5 AFR, goes up around 15-17 when revving.
