92 ABS vs 93 ABS caliper mounting bracket

I installed a 92 awd abs spindle on the front passenger side of my 93 tsi w/ abs, and im having some trouble with the caliper mounting bracket. It seems that the bracket is too large by about an 1/8" and will not fit between the abs gear and knuckle. I know that the big brakes will fit 92 w/o abs but im not so sure about the 92 /w abs. Any help would be appreciated
