Well I am trying to figure out where to mount this SBR Race FMIC kit on this 92 Talon but from where I have it at now I am going to have to cut the bumper cover for it to even fit and I am going to have to cut the hell out of the upper bumper support bracket !

I am removing the crash bar and not putting it back in .

I have searched and no one has put any pictures up for these year's (92-94)

If you have pictures please , please post them here

Thanks guy's :thumb:

What would be the difference from the 90-91? Just curious because I installed one on a my old 90 awd. I know I had to cut the radiator support.. The thin metal, Maybe you know what I'm talking about? If you lined your fmic up, You would see where I mean, So the end tank pipes can fit through... Other then that, I know I had to cut other shit, Alot to be exact.!

Not sure ....I did a search and another guy with 92-94 said he did not have to cut his bumper cover !

And Yes I know about cutting the radiator support ....

You might hafto trim the inside back of the bumper cover, Where the whole is... Well, Where hole folds and goes back behind the bumper, That long edge might need to be trimmed out, So it is not hitting the fmic causing it not to go back any further to line up.

I dont see what the problem is. Cut around the rad. support so the piping can go thru and then bolt it onto the studs that use to hold the crash bar on. Use the bottom holes on the fmic so the intercooler doesnt hang under the bumper. Bolt the fmic on and then trim to fit the front bumper

are these what you deisre?

Almostquick ........Thanks for the clear , clean pictures .....it helps out ...Clean Car to by the way

So where the crash bar mounts with the 2 studs sticking out ...the 1 missing the bolt is where you mount the intercooler flanges ?

And I did cut the radiator support just like you did ......

Yes you mount it on the studs without the nut shown in his picture. You don't need to remove the crash bar either, I still have mine. It's severely hacked but it HAS saved the intercoolers life when my buddies TSi rolled down a hill in a gas station and hit my car head on. I would have been pissed, but the remains of the hacked crash bar saved it from an immediate and garanteed doom.

Almostquick -- that's exactly how I installed mine. Here's some pics as to how I cut her. This is the StraightLine specialties Race FMIC

My oil cooler was already relocated to behind the FMIC, there's plenty of room. Now, it's to the side of the FMIC in direct airflow.

Sorry to change the subject but do you guys have any overheating issues with that monster FMIC? If so what did you do to cure them?
Here are a couple of pictures of my car after my FMIC install. I was overheating a bit also before I did this mod. Never had a problem since! :thumb:

Just cut out the little sections shown and air will flow through them directly into the radiator. And this is what the car looks like with the cutouts.
