91 to 90 ecu help

need help with what is involved in putting a 91 ecu in my 90 laser untill i can send my 90 ecu off to have it repaired

what about getting the tach to work ?

Just swap pins 6 and 14 first and see what you get. You don't need to cut wires, use a very small flat head and pop the pins out and swap them.

Your tach may still work good enough for you but it will be bouncy.

ok so the ecu i bought had was the same as the one i took out of it which was a 90 ecu but according to the ecu pinout link posted before it was the wires were switched so i re-did them and put the new ecu in and now the car runs great

yep and its the same on both

1G ECU Pinouts this is the link i used to check the wiring harness and pin 14 and pin 6 were switched
