91 AWD wont start...

Hey friends. I have the chance to pick up a 91 gsx for a great price, needs some body work but not a big deal. The problem im running into is that the original ecu had cap leaking. I picked up a new one from a 91 fwd and it will not start the car, the old leaky one will start it and run for a second then die. This car has an alarm and lo jack system in it im told. Any ideas???

p.s. I was told that the fwd ecu should work no problem in the awd.

Well with the original ecu the boost gauge does go up, with the "new" one it doesnt do a thing.. Ecu is Crap maybe? Any way to test it?

You just did....

If the CEL isn't turning on, the boost gauge isn't moving, and the car isn't starting with it, it's a safe bet it doesn't work given that another works better.
