Can you use a 90 automatic turbo ECU on a 90 5 speed turbo and what is the difference between EPROM an non-EPROM, which is better? :thumb:

Solution
No u cant use a automatic ecu in a 5spd car the wiring is different.

umm....

Yes, you can use an automatic ECU in a manual car, but an automatic ECU is programmed for different cams and 390cc injectors. I'm currently using an automatic ECU with 450's, manual cams, and a 14B on my '93, it still runs fine, (not the best for it, since your getting more gas into the cylinders than you want). Only reason you'd need an EPROM ECU is if you're planning on getting DSMLINK or DSMchip
Neither is really better than the other. Only advantage to the EPROM is the ability to get a chip. So if you plan on doing that then I guess its better. No u cant use a automatic ecu in a 5spd car the wiring is different.

This is exactly true i also have a auto ecu in my manual car but i am able to control my injectors with my super afc. it will affect you gas mileage a little but not much.
