'90 tsi awd to '92 tsi awd motor swap concerns

I did some searchs on this topic but couldn't find the exact answer I was looking for. I found mostly tranny and wiring issues, but they were dealing with cars going from N/A to turbo. I have two complete talons, a '90 tsi awd and '92 tsi awd both are 5 speeds. What exactly is involved in swapping just the engine from the '90 into the '92? The only driveline parts I plan on swapping into the '92 are the front axles and the shocks from the '91, what about these parts? Is what I've read about the necessity of swapping the entire electrical system true? Curious to see if this project is worthwhile before starting.

You will need to retain your coil pack, CAS, power transistor unit, and cruise control (if equipped and you wish to keep it) from your '92 to make it work easily. The engine itself will bolt up to the frame and transmission without any problem. Most importantly, coil pack, power transistor unit, and CAS.

I don't know about interchanging axles from 90s, though I have a feeling they should work. The struts should work, no problem.

just keep all the electronics from the 92 and put on the 90 engine swap is straight forward

i know this is an old thread but plan doing this also wanna know if it's worth while. i have a cop setup so could i just use that instead of the 92 coil pack?, am i defently going to need a 92 ecu or will my 90 work? anything other problems that i would encounter doing this?
