I'm looking at a awd 90 talon and I was test driving it and the tachometer worked while driving under slow acceleration and worked normal. But as soon as I give it throttle and boost kicks in the tach. Drops to zero until I let off. Then it just goes back to the right rpms at driving speeds... Is this a hard fix and what would I need to do?

mine was doing the same thing. Your noise filter is probably bad. I did the noise filter bypass and now my tach works pretty well, unless i push it really hard. The only real fix i know of is to get a new noise filter. I believe the part number is
mb542494, but dont quote me on that, someone else gave me that part number.

Is the noise filter body grounded, i.e., bolted, to the intake manifold or intake manifold (stay) support bracket?
