90 OFH question

Which port to the oil cooler is the outlet on a 90 oil filter housing? I am putting one on my 92 and it will have to be mounted sideways and I want to be sure which line is which. Also which are better fitting an lines -6 or-8 to put braided lines? I did search but to many people run different lines. Thanks Guys.

You will mount nothing sideways when installing this OFH, if you are talking about the cooler, then thats fine, a lot of people install them sideways. If you have not already, check whether you have a 6 or 7 bolt. Two different coolers.

Also which are better fitting an lines -6 or-8 to put braided lines? I would run 8 an line and call it a day.

OK got the size, now just not sure which is inlet and which is outlet. Sorry just never messed with and oiling system before. I would think the one coming out of the middle of the filter backside would be the outlet to the oil cooler, then back into the motor in the other port on the right. Thanks for the pic.

im having the same dilema

im having the same problem.... i know two of the big openings on the OFH are for the cooler, but which one FLOWS OUT INTO THE COOLER, and which one FLOW OUT OF THE COOLER BACK INTO THE OFH???

Sorry for the long wait on a reply, it says in the article the other member posted the fitting on the left is the feed and the other is the return. The feed should go in the bottom of the cooler and return top. I sold my DSM so I don't come to this site a whole lot anymore. I now have an Evo.
