Hey guys,
Been doing some searching and came up a bit short i was hoping you guys could bail me out with some knowledge.
So as of right now i have all the necessary hardwear to add an external oil cooler (cooler, SS line, AN fittings, 1990 OFH (i have a 6-bolt), etc...) however what i am wondering is what all is involved in the install of the 1990 OFH. Most of the bolts that attach the housing to the block are on the outside of the lower timing cover with the exception of one so what all has to be removed to attach the filter housing? Also what type of job would consider this to be skill wise? Is this something that you guys would recommend as a good learning experience for novice or something better left to a more experienced mechanic? Thanks in advance and sorry if i've overlooked some obvious information.
