I have a 1990 Laser RS turbo 5spd fwd and a 1994 talon tsi automatic awd, the talon has a blown motor and i wanted to get the one from the laser put in it. I know the only basic difference in the engines is that the laser is a 6 bolt crank. But my question is what else will need to be swapped over, computer etc etc etc, or is it basically a direct bolt in swap, im just looking to see how painful this is going to be.

any takers, the main ? i have is will i have to switch the computer or wiring harness etc.

thank you for any help.

actually if they are both stock turbo motors everything should be exactly the same. so switching the actual motors should be as far as you need to go. :dsm:
