New to the whole tuning cars thing. Having issues with my car dogging out if I try to accell to quick. If I hold the gas long enough it will go but otherwise I have to let off the gas for a couple seconds and then accell again. Its rather annoying. If you could give me some ideas on what to look at that would be great

plug gap .28, is timing correct at 5 btdc, boost leak test.

not sure what the plug gap .28 is but i'll check for leaks and gonna get the timing belt changed

Im leaning more towards there being a leak but wanted to know about anything else to check. Thanks

It's actually .028 for the Spark plug gap.

Ease up on the gas pedal for what is happening is that you're opening the throttle plate too quick and this causes a sudden decrease in intake vacuum while the injectors are suddenly shooting more fuel into the bores causing a sudden rich mixture that is harder to ignite and less power is the results.

It's when that rich mixture is burnt off and you're air to fuel ratio returns to normal is when you feel the power come back.

Also, learn how to go through the shift points where gas and clutch can work together for best power results. right now, you're doing too much gas and not enough clutch.

I've never had a problem doing that with any other car. Its a matter of trying to get the car to accel fast if i cant shift fast or accel fast how can I race. Is it something I can fix?
