90 gsx head on 92 tsi 6 bolt block?

I bought this car not running the day I got it I put a timing belt on and timed the cams and crank it was sitting for a while so it was a bi*** to start but got it to crank over once I did it sounded like I had a rod knock so I dropped the oil pan rods got some play so I'm replacing but I have a feeling valves are bent so I was going to get a hole new head with valves and springs already in.....will the 90 gsx head fit on my 92 tsi and is it worth the 100 for a head

The heads are the same thing so yes they are interchangeable.
