90 awd slide pin problems

hey everyone its been a while since i have been on here and need to figure out this little problem i seem to keep having.

the lower slide pin on the passenger rear seems to lock up every once in a while. the pin and caliper are brand new. i put exxon mobile fully synthetic grease on the top and bottom pins and dont understand why the bottom locks up and the top dosent. the grease is rated for -50 degrees F to 140 degrees F so why is it getting stiff and wanting to solidify. its only been getting down to the 20s here in louisville.

any help would be appreciated.

If everything is brand new, I can't think of any "typical" issue... Does it loosen up when you take it off and slide the frame back and forth a few times?
