Guide Pin Boots.

This is probably a stupid ass question, but I'm going to ask it anyway because I'm so damned frustrated.

I am struggling like hell to install new guide pin boots on my caliper bracket. So far I have 1 bracket done. But these little SOBs just will NOT go in. Does anyone have any tips on installing them? I've tried to clean the inner ridge as best as I can.

And yes, they are the correct boots.

First remove all the rust. (glassbeading works wonders)
Then jam the boots in there. (fold them if you must)
Then lube the pin with this (Look below) and push the pin in all the way.
Pull the pin back out, and check that the lip is fully seated.

Tried that approach already, it sees to seat the boot when I push it in. But when I pull the pin out, it pops the boot out with it and turns it inside out. More lube I guess. This Fvcker is getting done tonight!

Really looks like the wrong boots (seals), are sure they are correct? Or bad pic? They should with little brake lube pop right in. Which's leads me to believe the seals are wrong.

Seals are correct. Other bracket is already done with the same boots. This side for whatever reason is just giving me hell.

That's weird. I've never had any issue at all and never had to give them a second thought.

Thanks guys, turns out this bracket had little more corrosion on the surface just below the threads that I couldn't see. I had to get a stiff bent wire to scrape it out.
