Ok, So I am currently rebuilding my car and I am getting 9.0 to 1 wieseco pistons, eagle rods, going to keep stock head and crank. I am also thinking about putting a 16G on at the same time due to the fact that when the rod bearing went it took the turbo with it. My question is I still have a stock fuel system. Will I be safe to run this for a little while? I tur plan on keeping the 16G at 10 to 12 psi untill i get the proper fuel system mods.

Car is a 91 eagle talon, with a 3" turboback with o2 dump

But is this on a n/t or on a 4g63T model? On a 420a with stock fuel & 9.0:1 compression on a 16g it will be fine? Skeptical! On a 4g63T model with the boost down on 9.0:1 compression you should be fine, but a wideband and a logger will be your best friend just incase.

Sorry got confused with the 91 on your avatar, looks like it's two different cars. On a 4g63T @ 10psi on 9.0:1 you should be okay, but I'd log it just incase as I said before.

You should be good, but if you turn boost up any it will be knock happy. 1g's timing with that compression is a bad thing. Dsmlink would be my next mod after you build this motor so you can pull some timing out.

At this point I am really torn between Megasquirt and spark, or dsm link.

I see megasquirt having alot more potential and possibilities, and it is also alot cheaper, though not as easy as dsm link...

dsm link, eprom ecu, DSMlin itself, i am looking atleast 700-1000 dollars when all is said it done.

MEgasquirt would be around 500

Right now i am more worried about getting the car running again and the engine solid so I don't have to worry about it... as much LOL
