yup, it had a rod knock, but i had to drive it. So i took it out for a few minutes. Tranny is good. And I'm planning on doing a 1g swap. I have the 1g motor already.

Good deal but you would have to part it out. Ive tryed to get a title for a car one time and there was nothing I could do.

Well he said it has a salvage title, which means if he fixes the car, he can apply for a reconstructed title, and then he can drive it on the road.

actually, in california, salvage titles arent that big of a deal. The guy who had it before me got the salvage title, then fixed it. Then he blew the motor. And thus, i get an $800 car. I just can't get full coverage on it

If it's AT, they can be pricey to replace...just fyi..

If the title is an issue, just go to VT. You don't even have to live there to register a car there and they don't check anything...
MA DMV gets so pissed when I use them to do wishy washy deals... All I have to do is pay sales tax twice, but it's worth it...

its a stickshift with every option except the leather... the previos owner kinda beat the interior. So i have to fix a couple things, but besides that. The car is in pretty good condition. The turbo doesnt have any shaft play, and these rims look brand new!

If you have the money, Then why would you not buy this? I would buy this car in an INSTANT if it were closer, Even if I had to drive at least 2-3 hours... I just sold a fwd tranny alone for almost $800......

Well the owner ship the car? May I have his/her contact information? I'd pay $800 and all expenses to get the car to my residence. You can make 3 times your money back off that car, Unless you don't know what you're doing, Or how to price things.

Hopefully you make the right decision... You can throw in a used engine and make THOUSANDS..............................

Its fine as long as you never intend to sell it or trade it in. With the salvage/rebuilt title it'll never be worth much even if you get it perfect.
