okay so heres the deal, im about to get a 97 gst with a blown 6bolt motor in it, but i will be getting a 7bolt motor with 60k on it. my father is so hesitant on buying it considering the 7bolts rumor to crankwalk... the car will have intake, fmic, bov, exhaust for now motor wise.. someone give me some hope with this 7bolt

Check the 7 bolt's crank to make sure it's within spec before putting it in, if you are worried about it.

Thousands of people run 7 bolt motors everyday with no worries.

I actually heard its the other way around, since 6bolts can produce power so much more easily...

Explain to me how they make more power, so much more easily. Please.

I gotta 7 bolt, shop told me that i had crankwalk, when we ripped it apart, there was no play and nothing wrong with the crank, now its gettin a full rebuild, some 7 bolts do it, some don't....6 bolts have also been known to walk but not as much apparently, no matter how much research you do your gonna see both.....big talk amongst these 2 motors :thumb:

how hard is it to do just a 7bolt swap to 7bolt? the old motor blew because he was runnin 16psi on stock fuel managment, when i swap the motors will the turbo still be set that high ### i dont wanna junk another motor.
