7 Bolt

Quick question. Are the 7 bolt motors in the late 1g's the same as the early 2g's? Would it be a direct drop in?

My understanding is the head has different sized ports and some of the sensors are different. But they do fit in directly. You just have to swap a couple of sensors or wire them or something.

It will bolt in like a 6 bolt as far as the mounts go, but with a 2g oil pump the cam and crank sensors can be used.
