7 Bolt Oil Filter Housing on 6 Bolt Block

I'm finishing up my 6 bolt swap build here. 1g 7bolt head, 6 bolt block. Now I really wasn't looking to spend anymore money and I'm really not running a high horsepower setup so I was simply wondering if the 7 Bolt oil filter housing bolts up to the 6 bolt block/oil pump. I put it on and some of the holes seem to be a little off.

Just thought I'd ask. Thank you for any replies.

Nope, as you found out, the bolt holes arent the same. I dont know why mitsu would do that, but it looks like you're going to need a 6bolt housing.

yeah, they aren't the same and don't work. Do yourself a favor and get a 90 style oil filter housing with an external air to oil cooler. shouldn't cost too much used, and is a better option than the sandwich style oil/water coolers.

Better yet. Just get the forward facing oil filter housing from FFWD. Or you can get it from like a 85 D-50 might max. Think that is the motor the FFWD ones come from. I have 2 90 oil filter housing and coolers. They are ok but its just a few more items that can leak on you. Don't worry about an oil cooler and run synthetic oil. You won't have any oil break down issues due to heat.

That entirely depends on how you're driving your car. I guarantee you that oil temps over 250* will not be good for anything. If he tracks is car, or just on a long spirited drive, you should have an oil cooler. Turbocharged cars get oil hot.
