Am i correct in saying that the 2.0l dohc head will fit on 7 bolt, 6 bolt, 4g63, 4g64?

To a certain extent, yes. Some variations of the 4G64 are rotated in the engine bay by 180* and the head would not fit correctly.

But say i have a head off of a 7 bolt 4g63...thatd mount right up to a 6 bolt correct? Any mods to make it work right

You have to ream out all the Stud/bolt holes for it to bolt to the block. 7-bolts have smaller holes

For the 7 bolt head to fit on a 6 bolt block, you will need to drill out the head to fit the 6 bolt head studs/bolts.

And just for reference

6 bolt = 12mm
7 bolt = 11mm

Ream the holes out (12mm) and you need a 7 bolt water pipe to match up with the head. Thats about it, pretty simple.

Yes you can use a 7bolt head on a 4g64 with some modification too but it should work, and the 4g64 is not backwards like the 420A is. The 4g64 was change to the right side starting 2000- and up.
