6blot fwd turbo tranny.... can it be made to work on a 2g 7bolt engine?

i think i read somewhere that this could be done, but im not sure, any thoughts? i got a 1g auto fwd turbo tranny for 100 bucks today, can i make this work on my95 talon tsi fwd auto? do they make a conversion kit for it? i know they make a conversion kit for a 7 bolt tranny to mount to a 6 bolt motor.

also what would you guys say, should i replace my tranny pump at the same time as my torque converter?

Your 7-bolt transmission has the front and rear "engine" mounts on it. On the 1g cars those mounts were on the engine. So the 6-bolt transmission has 1 mount on it, and the one you need has 3.

No there would be no way to mount the front and rear trans mounts. Some have done it with a 6 bolt engine and made custom brackets. On the 1g's they mount on the block not the transmission like the 2 g's.

ok next question, someone told me a non turbo transmission would work if i changed out the fly wheels. i dont think its possible, but ill leave this open to yall for discussions. again i have a tsi fwd

What was it the transmission from?

If it is out of the esi i have only seen the 420a in the non turbo 2g. it wouldnt work cause the engine is totally on different sides.

its from a 96 eclipse GS 75k miles on it, woman said i could have that, the hood, bumbers and side skirts (all aftermarket) for 250

Only transmissions you can use are out of a 2g GST or TSI FWD.

well $hit! it would have to be one of the hardest automatics to find of course. DOES SOMEONE HAVE A AUTO FWD TURBO TRANNY THEY WANT TO SELL? i want a 5 speed but just really dont feel like doing all teh work right now to swap it. i need a vehicle to drive to work for the moment

no good! ha heres what mine is doing. i dont think its the clutch pack. because all the gears are there, but it revs to about 2000 rpms then jumps into gear then sometimes it goes into gear and feels like it pops out of gear then it will slowly catch and take off, but once its in gear, and your going about 30, it does just fine till it comes time to shift then it free revs, you let off and then will catch gear. i think the tc or pump, maybe a valve body, i unno

Yeah time for a rebuild my old GS spyder was doing that in third when I bought it wasnt much longer before the whole thing craped out (about 3 months I tried to rebuild it myself and it never worked again). Time for a rebuild or a used one or a manual swap.
