Oyyye, more electrical problems. I did the test for bad grounds with the test light between the negative post and cable. I have a very dim slighty pulsating light in the tester. I started pulling fuses to narrow it down and when I pulled the 60A fuse that's directly left to the power window fuse and a little up and right of the alternator fuse the light went out. When I pulled that fuse my head unit lost power, so I'm guessing it powers that. The wire coming off that fuse is a large (6 gauge?) White wire with two black stripes. I tried following and tracing it through the harness but I can't find where the damn thing goes. I pulled my head unit out and looked aroun with a flashlight in the dash and I can't find it in there.

So where does this wire go so I can find it and find the bad ground?

Another thing, my 16g eBay turbo recently developed about 1/16 of an inch of lateral shaft play and seems to be consuming some oil. I drove about 1000 highway miles over the holliday and it consumed about 2-3 cups worth of oil. My lower IC pipes have a thin coating of oil but nothing too alarming. Before I left there was no shaft play I could feel. I didn't notice any white smoke under boost. My engine only let's out a few drops of oil on the ground every day, and I'm not burning it, my plugs are very clean. Is the turbo on it's way out or is this fairly normal?

My car is a 95 tsi awd.

Just went for a drive... That 60A fuse apparently powers my heater blower as well...

I hope you're using an incandescent lamp (eg. brake or turn signal lamp) and not an LED. That 60A fuse supplies power to the engine fusebox's A/C and room lamp fuses and also to inside fusebox fuses 1,5,6,10, and 11 which power dozens of things (especially #10). Pull these other fuses (remember to disable door open switch if door is open).

My test light is incanescent, if that's what your referring to. I pulled the dash apart and found some hacked wires from the stereo install. After another couple hours of clipping and snipping I had it all cleaned up and everything grounded properly. Did the ground test again, and no light whatsoever. Man that felt good. A week ago that tester lit up like a damn Christmas tree...

Once again, your the man.
