420A Bad Ground

I have a 98 420a, I bought a new battery now all of a sudden I’m having some problems. The first problem my power cable to my sub melted where it connects to my positive terminal. My second problem the top ground strap melted when I tried starting the car. Not to mention the battery cables looks corroded all over. I am trying to see what my problem could be before I go replacing cables and grounds. Not a biggie on the electric side of things

The power wire to amp is probably too thin. A 4 gauge will fix that. Replace that ground on intake with another 4 gauge. Take those two wires that are on the terminal out, and place them where they fit properly, not like they're crammed in. You can use electrical tape around each so they don't touch, even tho they both are power cables. You can use a one of them brass toothbrush that they sell in a kit like from advance auto, orielly, etc.. to clean up the green stuff. Don't breathe it in. You can spray some terminal cleaner/corrosive cleaner from the same auto store you visit. Make sure you place positive on positive terminal and negative on negative.
