i ranned my pocketlogger for the first time and it had 6 knocks at the most at every 6+k rpm's. is that acceptable or should i try to fix that. i know no knock is better but is it something i should really worry about?

I dont really agree that no knock is better. I think a couple counts 1~5ish is ok. This way you know you are a bit lean to have a lil added hp and not too rich but you are not really hurting anything.

Infact most people I know turn for a couple counts. I tuned for 5 and most of the time I'm right around 5. Sometimes I hit 15 and I still dont really worry about even that. Not like I'm going to drive 100 miles with 15 counts ;)

Hell my friend ran it car with around 15 counts for a couple years no problems.

6 is pretty close to the sweet spot in my personal opinion. Worry more when you hit like 20~43 and your timing is massively pulled and the ran runs like poop...

If you are super worried, ad like a point or 2 of correction in those rpm ranges and see what it does.

Again this is my personal opinion from tuning my own car.

6 (or 15) is not enough to damage a motor, but it is enough to pull timing and make you lose power.

When the ECU sees over 5 counts of knock, it starts pulling timing and you loose power. In fact, anything over 3 counts makes the computer stop advancing the timing, causing the car to not make full power. Tuning for no knock on 1Gs really is the way to go unless you can control timing yourself, and we don't have DSMLink yet! Running a little rich will not make you loose as much power as the ECU pulling timing because of knock. 2Gs should just watch the timing on the logger and make sure it keeps advancing up to the top of the gear.
