I'm about to purchase a 2g gst with a 6 bolt swap and the guy that is selling it told me that it has a cold start issue because the 2g wire harness does not have the plug for the cold start injector (on the thermostat housing?).. He said that is the only problem with the car..

I was wondering if what he is saying is true and what would I need to do to fix this issue.. Is it a matter of finding the wiring from a 1g harness? Also, would this piece of the harness plug into the 2g ecu somewhere?

Update - I saw the car tonight and ask him for a few more days before I jump on the deal.. It looks like the plug that goes to the thermostat housing is cut off.. Any reason why anyone doing a 6 bolt swap would do that? Maybe the 2g harness doesn't use the same plug as the 1g harness?

Assuming the problem is that plug not being plugged in.. Could I potentially solve the problem by simply finding the right plug and soldering it in?

those wires being cut are exactly your problem. theres 2 connectors for the t-stat houseing, the ecu coolant temp sensor (2 wires), and the gauge coolant temp (1 wire). the ecu temp sensor is a biggie and should be fixed to cure the poor start-up.
