6 bolt swap in 97 gst help...

I JUST FINISHIED DOING A 1G 4G63 ENGINE SWAP ON MY 97 GST I

TURNED THE CAR ON AND SOUNDS LIKE CRAP...I GET THE ENGINE LIGHT ON

AND SOMETIMES IT WILL TURN OFF I DID THE CAM/CAS INVERSION FROM

ROADRACEENGINNERING.COM .....DO I NEED TO CHANGE THE FIRING ORDER

ON THE SPARK PLUGS? OR IN THE INJECTORS?

check what codes its throwing, that will let you know whats wrong...!

its giving me the p0300 its the random misfire...i went to the roadracingengineering and it had some steps on how to fix the problem and it still the same..iam using the 1g coil pack could that be the problem? whats the spark plug firing order the car?

well im not sure on that cause i also did a 6 boltswap on mine and used the 2g coil pack and works well and when i would connect the 1g it would start acting...! it might be a bad coil, check your spark plugs and wires and make sure there gapped the right way

Or you can get ECMlink and disable that code. Or you can get a '98-'99 ECU and use Ceddy's program to disable it. These two options would be your best bet.

my car has also had the 2g to 1g engine swap, and mine is sounding like crap too. it's even throwing the check engine light like yours does, except mine is always on. it makes some sort of screwed up sputtering noise when it idles, and it wont idle when it is first cranked until it warms up. is this anything like your problem?
