I am done the six bolt swap just waiting on a map sensor. I was told that you could get a 1g map sensor and the sensor pig tail wire it in where the old map sensor went and then you won't need to use the 2g? Is there any truth to this. Because they are saying that if i used a 2g sensor i would have to run a vaccumm source to it.

1gs don't have map sensors. You can tee the 2g one onto the hose comming off of the 1g manifold or just don't use it at all. When i did the swap I didn't even put it on my car no codes, issues etcc...

1g intake manifolds don't have a spot for a map/mdp sensor. You would have to run a vacuum source if you wanted to make the 2g sensor work, because otherwise it would throw a code, but that's not really an issue for you since you have dsmlink. The mdp sensor checks to see that you egr is working properly; so without it, you should also consider blocking off your egr and getting rid off a bunch of vacuum lines

currently not using dsmlink. So i should just use the 2g sensor, teeing it into a vac source and just let it hang or mount it?
